Those with oily or blemish-prone skin may prefer to use our Hydrating B5 Gel in place of a traditional moisturizer. However, dry skin can benefit from using a hydrating serum in addition to moisturizer for extra skin nourishing moisture. When exercising or in a hot, humid climate, a hydrating serum may be a more comfortable moisturizer option for some.

The ideal hydrating serum for dry skin is formulated with ingredients that attract moisture to the skin and help lock it in. Hyaluronic acid is one of the most effective ingredients to look for in a serum for dry skin, as it is a powerful humectant that provides long-lasting moisture to improve the appearance of skin texture as well as its comfort.

Always begin your skincare routine with the appropriate SkinCeuticals cleanser and toner for your skin type and unique skin concerns. In the morning, apply hydrating serum after your vitamin C antioxidant and before sunscreen. (You can apply moisturizer between your hydrating serum and sunscreen if desired.)
